Where can I see a Hill Billy demonstration?
There are many Hill Billy powered golf trolleys in use all over the world. But if you don't get the chance to see a retailer Hill Billy demonstration or one of our electric golf trolley’s in use, order a Hill Billy with the peace of mind that we offer a 14-day full money-back guarantee - as long as the trolley is unused on the fairways and in new condition. So if for some reason you were not completely satisfied with your new Hill Billy just call us and we will make arrangements to collect your trolley and refund your money. There are a number of worldwide Hill Billy distributors where you may be able to see an instore demonstration if you are outside of the UK.

What service does a Hill Billy require?
The electric powered golf trolley requires no maintenance, simply plug the battery into the charger after your game to recharge and that is it. You may wish to clean the frame with a damp cloth; the golf trolley wheels easily remove for rinsing off after a wet or muddy day.

What warranty does a Hill Billy offer?
All parts on a Hill Billy electric golf trolley along with the battery and charger are covered by a full 12 month (from the date of purchase) warranty.

How long will a charged battery last?
A fully charged battery will easily last 18 holes, even on courses with the most extreme gradients. The golf trolley battery is not designed to last 27 or 36 holes. If playing such distances we advise the use of two batteries.

How long does the battery take to recharge?
Recharge time on a golf trolley battery is approximately 6 to 10 hours.

Can I take my battery on an airplane?
The battery is fully sealed, maintenance free, valve regulated and suitable for transportation by air, land & sea – in accordance with IATA regulations, although we do recommend you speak to your travel provider.

Can we put hedgehog wheels on our Hill Billy?
The manufacturer of Hedgehog tyres recommends the tyres specifically for two wheel pull trolleys only and not for powered golf trolleys.
Until a tyre is designed suitable for Hill Billy electric powered golf trolleys, we cannot recommend using such tyres on our trolleys.

How do you control a Hill Billy?
The speed control (which also incorporates the on/off switch) is a simple dial conveniently located on the golf trolley handle. Adjust the speed to suit the terrain of the golf course and your pace.

Should I purchase a second battery?
We recommend you purchase a second battery if you wish to play 27 or 36 holes in a day. A second charger is not necessary.

What if there is a problem with my trolley?
In Warranty:
Contact us immediately. Depending on the fault we will send a spare part or collect it and then repair it or send a replacement Hill Billy trolley as appropriate. You'll be back on the fairways in no time at all.
Outside of Warranty:
We will put it right quickly, efficiently and as economically as possible. We can either send you a spare part, complete with fitting instructions (nothing complicated!) or we'll collect the golf trolley & repair at a minimal cost.

How soon after I have played golf should I recharge the battery?
Recharge your golf trolley battery as soon as possible.

Can I connect my charger to the mains via a time switch?
No. This does not guarantee the battery will be fully charged.

If I only play 9 holes, do I still have to recharge the battery before the next game?
Yes. Regardless of the number of holes played, the battery of your electric trolley must be charged after every use.

Is my battery ready to use as soon as the green light shows on the charger?
For a Hill Billy charger bought after January 2004 - serial number post C215881 the answer is “Yes”. The green light indicates the battery is fully charged.
For a charger bought in or before January 2004 - serial number pre C215881 the answer is “No”. The Hill Billy battery must be charged for a minimum of 10 hours before it’s used again, even if the green light shows earlier than this.

I’ve been told I should sometimes fully discharge my Hill Billy battery, Is this true?
No. Hill Billy batteries must never be completely discharged; it may severely damage a Hill Billy battery.

My Hill Billy trolley cuts out occasionally when in use.
Your electric golf trolley is fitted with a safety cut out in the MSC (motor speed control unit). If the control is set at one constant speed for a period of time, your electric trolley will automatically switch off. If this occurs, reset the green speed control on the handle to the off position and then restart.

What is the maximum weight allowed for my bag, clubs and clothes?
Hill Billy recommend that you limit the weight of your golf bag, including your golf clubs and all golfing accessories to 12KG. .
